I love this song! This is a great song with lots of animals and animal sounds and I’m heaps good at those. This book is a bit different though, because there are no animals and animal noises and instead there are lots of big trucks. So I like this book a lot because I like big trucks. There are sorts of trucks and machines in this book, that I’ve seen in my other construction site books, like a steam roller and a bulldozer. I’m good at trucks.

This is a great book when you still have some fond sentiments towards the song but are getting sick of farm animal noises. The illustrations are bright and cheerful, and the farm setting is really fun. This is a great way for learning the names of different types of heavy machinery in an engaging way. Also, we have an Old MacDonald Had a Farm book that plays the tune when you press a button and this book is blessedly silent, so this is my favourite Old MacDonald book by far.
