This is a very nice book! I like listening to this one and I also like pointing out the dog when I see him (he’s on most pages). He’s kind of tricky to see because the pictures in this are all line-y and black and white and nothing is very obvious like it is in my other books. But I am excellent at spotting woofs. I am practically a professional. This is a very soothing book to listen to and I like it when Mummy reads it to me. Sometimes I make her read it again and again.

This is one of the books we received before Tilly was even born — I had it on the baby registry before knowing anything about children’s books and bedtime books and reading aloud. And I’m so glad that we have it now! It took until Tilly was close to eighteen months old before we read it with any regularity and now it’s a favourite. I love the poetry of the book, and the order, and the illustrations are simple and complex at the same time. It is a beautiful book and one I’ve bought as presents for other babies with resounding success.
